Welcome to The Third Chakra! The land of personal power!

In Sanskrit The Third, or Solar Plexus Chakra is called Manipura which means “shining gem.”

The Third Chakra is located at your solar plexus it is yellow in color and is represented by the element of fire.

This “shining gem” is the center of your personal power, the center of your willpower, self-esteem, self-discipline, integrity and honor.

You can think of the Third Chakra as your own personal energy center that is 100% dedicated to you and your relationship with yourself.

How cool is that?!

Charka’s are powerful, they are the Seed of your emotions– and when you are in tune with your present emotional, physical and mental state you are able to pinpoint exactly what Chakras are out of balance and in need of some serious TLC.

For instance, when The Third Charka is out of balance this will manifest as destructive patterns in your behavior, such as, the need for excessive control, indecisiveness, lack of follow through a sense of ‘giving up’ on one selves goals and determinations.

A balanced third chakra, however, brings about confidence, drive, emotional and mental balance and focus and desire to achieve goals and intentions.

Now- what the heck do you do if any of the above applies to you?

How do you find balance and shift some of the negative emotions you’re experiencing into positive… well my friends, Keep Calm and Keep Reading!

Previously while discussing The Second chakra I asked you to list what gives you joy, doing this exercise allowed your mind and your body to connect with the physical frequency of feeling joy.

You were able to pinpoint exactly what brings you joy- and from this exercise you were able to physically feel joy in your body, more specifically, in your second chakra.

Now as we begin the journey of connecting with The Third Chakra, I am asking you to take things one step further and to get comfortable with the notion of putting yourself first to give yourself joy.

Ask yourself…

* Do I love myself?
* How much do I love myself?
* What does it mean to love myself?
* How does it feel to love myself?

Ask yourself what needs to happen in this exact moment to feel better….

* What do I need right now to take care of myself?”
* A nap?
* How about going for a walk?
* Do I need to choose healthier foods to eat?”

These might feel like very selfish things to think and to ask of yourself… but trust me they’re not!

We were taught to be humble and to put others before ourselves, but the reality is you must put yourself first when it comes to taking care of yourself.

As the story goes, you cannot heal, or help anyone if you are not whole first.

Nobody else is going to make sure you have all your needs met, that is your job.

Besides if you continue to put everybody else’s needs before your own then eventually you will have no energy to take care of them or yourself.

Or worse you will get sick.

I encourage you to take a moment and appreciate all that you are and all that you have done.

Erase the pattern of being hard on yourself for past mistakes a few Mantras I love to use in my day-to-day life:

* I forgive myself, I did that best I could with the information I had at the time.
* What if I loved and valued myself?’
* What if I had enough energy and joy to follow my dreams?
* Every day I am learning to love myself more and more.

While reciting these mantras either out loud or in your head, try placing your hands on your solar plexus, take a breath and notice what love and appreciation feels like.

Now have your next choice be based on what is best for you.

Every day I make choices that support my health and well-being.
